What Wyoming requires

In Wyoming, a learner permit is available starting at age 15. Wyoming requires 50 hours of supervised driving, including 10 at night before a teen can finish the supervised-driving stage of licensing.

A parent or guardian certifies the completed hours on the FSGDL-01 Behind-the-Wheel Certification. There's no trip log to submit.

✓ Requirements verified on July 20, 2026 against Wyoming's official DMV source.

Requirements change; always confirm the current rules with your state's licensing agency or the official form.

Wyoming certifies the hours rather than submitting a log: see submit vs. certify.

Completing your Wyoming supervised-driving log, step by step

From your first supervised drive to a completed Wyoming log — the workflow, in order.

  1. Log every supervised drive as you go — Learner Log records each drive's date, length, and day-or-night split for you.
  2. Build toward Wyoming's requirement of 50 hours of supervised driving, including 10 at night.
  3. Get the FSGDL-01 Behind-the-Wheel Certification from Wyoming's licensing agency and complete it using your tracked totals — Learner Log keeps the running hours, so you certify against a finished number instead of re-adding a paper tally.
  4. Have a parent or guardian certify the completed hours on the FSGDL-01 Behind-the-Wheel Certification — there's no trip log to turn in.

Questions about Wyoming requirements

Do I submit this log to Wyoming?

No. Wyoming has a parent or guardian certify your completed hours on the FSGDL-01 Behind-the-Wheel Certification. Learner Log is your private record for tracking them, with no trip log to turn in.

How many of the hours have to be at night?

Wyoming requires 10 of the 50 hours at night. Learner Log tracks daytime and nighttime minutes separately, so your night total is always current.
