Driving Log is independently developed and maintained. If it's been helpful, you're welcome to chip in toward keeping it running — but it's always optional, and nothing you need is locked behind it.
What it costs to run
I'd rather just be upfront about it. The infrastructure is the smaller piece — servers, email, and the domain names run about $100 a month.
The real cost is time, and it's the far bigger number. Keeping every state's requirements accurate, maintaining the official form exports as they change, adding new states, answering email, and keeping everything secure and up to date adds up to hundreds of dollars a month of ongoing work. That's what your support really helps with.
