What Tennessee requires
In Tennessee, a learner permit is available starting at age 15. Tennessee requires 50 hours of supervised driving, including 10 at night before a teen can finish the supervised-driving stage of licensing.
The learner permit also has to be held for at least 6 months before a teen can move up to the next license stage in Tennessee, so it's worth starting the log early.
