What Idaho requires
In Idaho, a learner permit is available starting at age 14 (and six months, with driver training). Idaho requires 50 hours of supervised driving, including 10 at night before a teen can finish the supervised-driving stage of licensing.
The learner permit also has to be held for at least 6 months before a teen can move up to the next license stage in Idaho, so it's worth starting the log early.
A parent or guardian certifies the completed hours on the GDL Requirements Verification. There's no trip log to submit.
