Colorado supervised driving

Colorado Drive Time Log (DR 2324)

Colorado requires drivers under 18 to complete 50 hours of supervised driving — including 10 hours at night — before the driving test. The DR 2324 Drive Time Log Sheet records those hours, signed by a parent, guardian, or supervising adult.

What the DR 2324 Drive Time Log requires

The log records 50 hours of behind-the-wheel practice, at least 10 of them at night, supervised by a licensed adult. A parent, guardian, or responsible adult signs it, and it's submitted with the minor driver license application.

The state's promoted app — and what it collects

Colorado promotes a free driving-log app as a resource for the supervised driving log. Using it is optional; the printed DR 2324 is still accepted. If you're weighing it, read its privacy policy first. The app logs drives automatically using your phone's GPS and sensors — including location in the background — and tracks driving conditions. As of July 2026 its store listings and privacy policy describe collecting location and personal information; policies change, so check the current one yourself.

How Learner Log compares

Learner Log records only what you enter — the date, minutes, and whether it was day or night. No GPS, no background location, and no driving-behavior scoring. We don't sell your data or share your driving details with advertisers or data brokers — read our privacy policy below for exactly what we keep. When your 50 hours are done, Learner Log fills the DR 2324 to print and sign.
